Frequently asked questions
What makes the Vispring Herald Superb's spring system different from other pocket springs?
It uses three rows of hand-nested calico pocket springs with individual coil movement, and in King size 1,716 Vanadium steel springs are nested by hand to provide true point-by-point support and long-term tension resistance.
Who would most benefit from this mattress and who might prefer something else?
It's suited to sleepers who want tailored support with options for Soft, Medium, Firm, or Extra Firm tension, and is good for couples who want split firmness in King size.
How do I get the most balanced feel from this mattress across different sleep preferences?
Choose the firmness option that matches your usual comfort level; the design emphasizes tension options as the primary variable to balance support without adding extra weight.
What materials sit above the springs and how do they affect comfort and breathability?
Natural fibres, including bonded British fleece wool and cotton, upholster the surface to provide breathability and loft retention, with border, tufting, and air vents enhancing airflow.
What should I know about care and keeping the feel consistent over time?
The hand-tufted construction with felt washers helps maintain a consistent density, supporting long-term stability of the surface feel.
Does this mattress accommodate different bed partners on firmness with King size?
Yes, the King size offers split firmness, allowing different tension settings for each side of the bed to better match individual preferences.
The Herald Superb represents a refined pinnacle in the Vispring collection, featuring three rows of hand-nested calico pocket springs that deepen the spring architecture while keeping the upholstery clean. This design emphasizes tension options as the primary variable, ensuring tailored support without adding filling weight, and delivering a balanced feel across different sleep preferences.
In King size, 1,716 Vanadium steel springs are individually nested by hand inside calico pockets, allowing each coil to move independently for true point-by-point support. The spring is crafted from Vanadium steel for long-term fatigue resistance and consistent tension, with four selectable options—Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm—and split firmness available for partners sharing a bed. The non-synthetic upholstery uses natural fibres, including bonded British fleece wool and cotton, for breathable temperature regulation and loft retention, while the border, tufting, and air vents enhance durability and airflow for a stable, comfortable sleeping surface.
